GTM Data Analyst at Backblaze

We’re seeking a GTM Data Analyst to join our team.
You’ll partner closely with Sales, Customer Success, and Finance (FP&A) to build, maintain, and enhance the reports and dashboards they rely on daily.
Your work will translate complex data into clear visualizations that drive efficient decision making and operational efficiency at Backblaze.
What You’ll Do
- Build and maintain scalable, robust data tables and views in Snowflake by aggregating data from sources such as Salesforce, product data, HubSpot, Outreach, and Gong.
- Ensure the accuracy and defensibility of all reporting by designing data tables, validating source data, and maintaining documentation.
- Design, build, and maintain high-impact reports and dashboards in Tableau to monitor business performance, track key revenue metrics, and identify growth opportunities.
- Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for all reports and dashboards to ensure consistency and knowledge transfer.
- Proactively extract and communicate actionable insights from business trends to support critical decision-making for Sales, Operations, and Finance teams.
- Utilize strong problem-solving skills to break down complex business questions and develop practical, data-driven solutions.
Requirements
- 3+ years in a data analytics role, specifically within a B2B SaaS environment.
- Advanced SQL: expert-level ability to write complex queries to extract, transform, and model data in a data warehouse environment.
- Visualization: experience with Tableau or similar tools.
- Data Ecosystem Proficiency: hands-on experience with Snowflake, Tableau, and Salesforce data objects.
- AI Integration: ability to leverage AI tools to enhance efficiency and produce accurate, actionable data analysis.
Business Acumen & Soft Skills
- Business Intelligence: understanding of core Sales, Marketing, and Finance concepts and KPIs (e.g., Quota Attainment, Sales Cycle, Bookings, Lead to Opportunity Conversion Rates, Win Rates).
- Communication: ability to convey complex analytical findings and recommendations to non-technical stakeholders.
- Attention to Detail: ensuring correctness and defensibility of analyses and metrics.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field (Math, Economics, Statistics, Engineering, Finance, Computer Science, etc.).
