Overview
Rippling is looking for a strategic leader to join our Global Payroll Operations team.
The Global Payroll Operations Supervisor will oversee all payroll operations for LATAM, ensuring timely and compliant execution.
This role requires collaboration with internal R&D, treasury, and third-party partners to maintain smooth operations and support Rippling’s expansion into new customer segments and regions with country-specific payroll expertise.
This is a high-impact role with cross-departmental influence on product development, customer experience, and team growth in the LATAM region.
What You Will Do
- Lead, hire, and train a growing team to support market expansion and operational scaling.
- Drive team performance, ensuring KPIs and deadlines are consistently met.
- Monitor and report on team progress, identifying areas for improvement.
- Develop and implement scalable, error-free processes that are easy to learn, expand, and measure.
- Facilitate training and development to build a high-performing team.
- Support issue resolution by collaborating with government agencies, partners, and customers.
- Drive automation initiatives to improve efficiency and reduce manual errors.
- Collaborate with Global Payroll Engineering and Product teams to:
- Ensure payroll software meets payroll and tax compliance requirements.
- Address product issues (e.g., calculation or file generation errors) quickly.
- Prioritize and implement internal tooling needs.
What You Will Need
- 7+ years of experience in global payroll processing, with at least 2+ years managing payroll operations and 4+ years in a client-facing role.
- Proven experience managing a large team.
- Strong LATAM payroll expertise (Mexico, Argentina, Colombia, Brazil, Costa Rica, etc.).
Experience in all countries is not required.
- In-depth knowledge of end-to-end payroll processes and regulations, including taxes, Social Security registration, and filings, with the ability to guide specialists across LATAM.
- Experience with both in-house payroll processing and partner payroll providers.
- Excellent planning and organizational skills, with the ability to manage ad-hoc projects alongside daily operations.
- Proficient in Google Suite or Microsoft Office (Docs, Sheets, Excel) for data analysis and task management.
Familiarity with Salesforce, JIRA, and Confluence is a plus.
- Experience with payroll systems and software.
- Strong English fluency and communication skills.
