Prospect 33 is hiring Cloud Data Engineers to help deliver a major cloud migration for one of the world's top financial institutions.
You'll join a high-performance team building real-time pipelines and working with regulated financial data on Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
This is a long-term role with the opportunity to convert to the client's internal team after two years.
Whether you're starting out or already have 3–5 years of experience, this is a chance to work on large-scale systems, get GCP-certified, and build your career in financial services.
What you'll do
- Build and operate batch and streaming pipelines using BigQuery, Dataflow (Apache Beam), Pub/Sub, Cloud Composer, and Cloud Storage
- Write clean Python and SQL for ETL, dbt models, and data quality checks
- Use Terraform, GitHub Actions, and Cloud Build to manage infrastructure and CI/CD pipelines
- Apply security and compliance best practices including IAM, KMS, policy tags, and Secrets Manager
- Monitor pipeline health using Cloud Logging and Monitoring, and respond to alerts
- Collaborate with platform, risk, finance, and operations teams in an English-speaking environment
What you bring
All candidates must have:
- A bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
- Strong English skills (written and spoken)
- Experience with Python, SQL, Git, and cloud platforms (GCP preferred)
Junior-level candidates
- 0–2 years of experience
- Eagerness to learn, curiosity, and a strong sense of ownership
Mid-level candidates
- 3–5 years of experience, with at least 2 years working in cloud environments
- Experience delivering production pipelines and mentoring junior engineers
