The role

// We are looking for a Front-End Javascript developer with experience in core web technologies and modern JavaScript frameworks such as Vue to work as part of our highly successful Justride team.

Our platform primarily uses Vue, with some legacy code in Angular.

The Justride team is responsible for the development and maintenance of several web applications used by customers of the Justride platform.

These platforms combined currently process over $1 billion in transactions a year.

With these kinds of numbers, security and fraud mitigation are paramount to our success.

We ensure high standards through comprehensive end-to-end and unit testing, as well as refactoring to ensure we work to the latest standards and best practices.

We work as part of a cross-discipline team that delivers robust and reusable components originating from product requirements through UX, design, development, and quality assurance.

We are looking for a proactive person to join the team and actively contribute to code reviews, pairing, knowledge sharing, mentoring and technical road-mapping.

About You

  • A good command of the English language is required for this role, including the ability to communicate clearly and effectively in both written and spoken English

  • Proficient in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and TypeScript

  • Skilled in using JavaScript component frameworks like Vue and Angular

  • Strong understanding of web standards, accessibility, and usability, including building and testing applications to adhere to WCAG AA-Level compliance.

  • Experienced with client-side bundlers such as Vite, Webpack or Rollup

  • Committed to engaging within an active engineering community focused on improving development experiences for all.

  • Skilled in making pragmatic decisions and communicating effectively with both technical and non-technical audiences

  • Approachable, patient, and an excellent communicator who thrives in a collaborative environment

  • Passionate about maintaining technical quality and user-centred design

  • Champion of best practices across the software development lifecycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control, builds, automated testing, and operations

Nice to Have

  • Experience with hybrid web and mobile app development using Capacitor.JS, React Native or similar technologies.

  • Familiarity with native mobile technologies for both iOS and Android

  • Experience working with other programming languages like Java, Kotlin, or Swift
