EHS/FM Coordinator
Your Role:
As an
Environmental, Health, Safety & Security (EHS) Coordinator
, you will be responsible for implementing, monitoring, and continuously improving programs related to occupational hygiene, workplace safety, environmental compliance, and physical security across our facilities in Colombia.

A key part of your role will involve coordinating external Facility Management services and occupational health providers, ensuring full compliance with local regulations and internal global standards, while guaranteeing a safe and efficient site operation.

Your responsibilities will include conducting internal audits and inspections, preparing and submitting regulatory reports, and leading employee training programs on safety, environmental practices, and emergency response.

You will oversee waste management processes, monitor adherence to sustainability objectives, and ensure compliance with SG-SST (Occupational Health and Safety Management System) requirements.

Additionally, you will manage security protocols for on-site events, supervise access control measures, and coordinate with external security vendors when necessary.

In this role, you will serve as the main point of contact with local authorities, global EHS teams, and external providers, facilitating seamless communication and alignment on compliance initiatives.

You will interact daily with approximately 40–50 employees under a hybrid work scheme, providing guidance on safety and environmental practices.

Given that the direct manager is based remotely, this position requires a high degree of autonomy, proactive decision-making, and accountability.

Previous experience in highly regulated industries such as pharmaceuticals, food, or oil & gas is essential, as well as the ability to anticipate and mitigate operational risks effectively.

Who You Are

  • Bachelor's degree in Environmental Engineering, Occupational Safety & Hygiene, or a related field, with a valid professional license in Colombia.

  • Upper-intermediate English proficiency (able to deliver technical presentations and effectively communicate on global calls).

  • Previous experience in regulated industries (pharmaceutical, food, or oil & gas) in areas related to EHS, physical security, or compliance.

  • Strong knowledge of environmental regulations, SG-SST standards, waste management, occupational health, and access control systems.

  • Experience managing external providers for facility management and occupational health services.

  • Proficiency in PowerPoint and Excel, with the ability to track and analyze EHS and FM performance indicators.

  • Ability to work with autonomy, demonstrate ownership, and apply critical thinking when assessing risks or incidents.

  • Strong communication, collaboration, and process-monitoring skills.
