About the Role:
We are seeking a
Demand Planning Specialist
to own and lead the demand planning process for a specific channel and category, ensuring accurate 24-month operational forecasts throughout the product life cycle.
This role is highly collaborative, working closely with Product, Marketing, Sales, Finance, and Supply Chain teams to build consensus-driven demand plans that align with both operational and strategic goals.
You'll play a key role in the Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) process and lead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance forecasting capabilities, systems, and processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the end-to-end demand planning process, creating accurate 24-month forecasts throughout product lifecycles.
- Collaborate with Product, Sales, Marketing, Supply Planning, and Finance to deliver consensus-driven demand plans.
- Analyze historical data, competitor launches, and marketing plans to validate risks and opportunities for new product introductions.
- Support S&OP/Pre-Demand Review and Demand Review meetings, driving alignment across stakeholders.
- Identify gaps between demand plans and financial budgets, recommending actionable solutions.
- Conduct forecast accuracy analysis, lead root cause investigations, and drive process improvements using key planning metrics.
- Participate in cross-functional projects to elevate demand planning excellence.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree preferred in Supply Chain, Retail Sales & Inventory Management, Mathematics, Statistics, or other quantitative disciplines (or equivalent work experience).
- 1–3 years
of forecasting or demand planning experience, ideally within the consumer goods industry.
- Candidates must be located in Colombia, not only in Bogotá.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; ability to manage ambiguity.
- Advanced proficiency in
MS Excel
; experience with forecasting tools (SAP IBP preferred) is a plus.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Solid understanding of retail math and supply chain principles.
- Proven ability to lead initiatives and contribute to cross-functional collaboration.
