Role Overview
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Deal Process & Operations Associate to support our private equity investment team.
This is a process-driven role focused on ensuring end-to-end excellence across the full investment lifecycle.
You will play a key role in managing workflows, tracking due diligence, and supporting deal execution from origination to closing.
This position offers direct exposure to investment decision-making, portfolio management, and board-level strategy.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide full process support for each deal, from origination through closing, ensuring diligence items are tracked and completed on time.
- Coordinate NDA reviews with the legal team and manage deal room documentation, providing initial commentary and following up on missing materials.
- Maintain updated diligence files, tracking systems, and issue logs in real time.
- Support the investment team with formatting and compiling deal memos, pitches, financial models, and market research.
- Manage pipeline dashboards and deliver weekly reports on deal status, critical issues, and next steps during Monday meetings.
- Assist with quarterly portfolio reviews, ensuring investment teams are accountable for company performance vs.
plan.
- Contribute to ad hoc projects such as target identification, outreach, and market research for future opportunities.
Requirements
- 2–3 years of experience in investment banking, public accounting (audit preferred), private equity, venture capital, or corporate development.
- Strong FP&A skills with exceptional attention to detail and the ability to work with large volumes of unstructured data.
- Excellent academic and professional track record.
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook; prior experience with HubSpot or similar CRM is preferred.
- Familiarity with U.S. technology (TMT) or federal contracting (defense/aerospace) industries is strongly preferred.
- Ability to work U.S. East Coast hours in a remote, full-time capacity.
