Data Quality Analyst at BairesDev
We are seeking a highly skilled Data Quality Analyst to ensure the integrity, consistency, and reliability of large-scale datasets and data pipelines.
You will work closely with data engineers, analysts, and product managers to design and execute testing strategies across Big Data platforms and ETL/ELT workflows.
The ideal candidate is proficient in SQL, familiar with modern data platforms (Databricks or similar), and experienced in both manual and automated data validation techniques.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and execute test cases to validate data accuracy, completeness, and transformations.
- Perform exploratory data analysis to identify anomalies, inconsistencies, and data quality issues.
- Collaborate with Data Engineers to validate ETL/ELT pipelines and data workflows.
- Develop and maintain automated tests for data validation where applicable.
- Ensure high standards of data quality in terms of accuracy, integrity, and reliability.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience with strong SQL expertise to query, validate, and analyze large datasets.
- 3+ years of experience with ETL/ELT processes and data pipeline validation.
- Understanding of data modeling concepts, data warehousing, and BI principles.
- Experience handling large-scale datasets (millions of rows) and optimizing queries.
- Solid manual testing / QA experience focused on data validation.
- Familiarity with Big Data platforms and tools (Databricks or similar) and data testing frameworks.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills; experience working with cross-functional teams.
