This position enhances data mapping tools and processes, evaluates clinical and spending data, and provides leadership to ensure data accuracy in the warehouse.

This role develops and implements training programs for new hires and ongoing development for the Investor Data team, managing recruitment strategies and the interview process.

Data Operations Manager Duties

• Workload Management: Managing the day-to-day workload of Analysts, Data Operations, ensuring Service Level Agreements (SLAs) are met.

• Hiring and Onboarding Leadership: Leading the Data Analyst hiring and onboarding, including interviewing, colleague selection, and all aspects of training.

• Strategic Operations Development: Determining the strategy and building the operations to manage the new and growing Data Enablement team.
  
  
• Training and Development Management: Managing the training, development, hiring strategy, and headcount planning for a record number of Investor Data team members.
  
  
• Accountability for Success: Being accountable for the training and development success of all Investor Data team members.
  
  
• Staff Recruitment: Recruits, interviews, hires, and trains new staff.
  
  
• Development Planning: Creates and maintains development plans for Data Operations teams, ensuring alignment to roadmap activity and strategic initiatives.
  
  
• Performance Evaluation: Provides constructive and timely performance evaluations, handling discipline and termination of employees in accordance with company policy.
  
  
• Data Standards Management: Identifies, develops, establishes, and maintains all data-related standards, processes, and procedures, ensuring alignment with Operations, Development, Security, and Architecture guidelines.
  
  
• Database Performance Assessment: Works with the Reliability Team to assess current and projected database performance and recommends changes/enhancements.
  
  
• Database Integrity Assurance: Ensures the integrity of the database system by developing, documenting, and enforcing security procedures and access controls in cooperation with Information Security and Architecture teams.
  
  
• Project Management: Ensures project and department milestones and goals are met on time and within budget.
  
  
• Issue Resolution: Acts as a point of escalation and resolution for data-related issues.
  
  
• Industry Knowledge Maintenance: Maintains knowledge of trends, developments, and best practices in database, security, and related technology.
  
  
• Market Performance Monitoring: Monitors the marketplace performance in Chile, Argentina, Uruguay, and Paraguay.

Data Operations Manager Responsibilities

• Production Support: Provide support to the production mapping teams with regard to development testing, production, and technical support.
  
  
• Communication Coordination: Coordinate communication with Product Development and IT management to ensure appropriate data quality standards and analytic delivery date expectations are met.
  
  
• Data Mapping Enhancement: Identify opportunities to enhance data mapping tools, processing, and delivery processes.
  
  
• Demand Anticipation: Anticipate future demands of initiatives related to people, technology, budget, and business within the Reported Financials Technical & Mapping Teams and design/implement solutions to meet these needs.
  
  
• Data Evaluation and Mapping: Evaluate and map Clinical & Spend data when needed.
  
  
• Leadership and Expertise: Provide strong leadership, partnership, and subject matter expertise to multiple cross-matrix teams to ensure data accuracy and completeness in the data warehouse.
  
  
• Educational Material Development: Develop and deploy staff education materials.
  
  
• Analytics Alignment: Ensure that staff provide analytics services in alignment with corporate strategies for member offering, product delivery, and company data governance policies.
  
  
• Analytics Leadership: Lead analytics activities in support of data methodology enhancements and insights.
  
  
• Training Program Facilitation: Manage the facilitation of the new hire training program, working closely with Investor Data team managers to ensure successful onboarding.
  
  
• Ongoing Training Development: Develop ongoing training and development resources for all Investor Data team members beyond new hire training.
  
  
• Hiring Strategy Accountability: Be accountable for determining the Investor Data team hiring strategy, including optimizing interview questions and assignments.
  
  
• Interview Process Management: Manage key parts of the Investor Data team interview process, including grading take-home assignments that involve the analysis of a large dataset.
