About the Role
We’re seeking a skilled Data Engineer to support our product and technology team.
In this role, you’ll be responsible for building and maintaining data pipelines, analyzing data, and enabling data-driven decision-making across the organization.
You'll be the first and only dedicated data analytics team member , so we’re looking for someone with an entrepreneurial mindset who is comfortable operating independently, defining structure, and solving complex data challenges.
What You’ll Do
- Design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines and ETL processes
- Clean, validate, and structure raw data from various sources to ensure data quality and usability
- Analyze large datasets to identify trends, patterns, and actionable insights that support business decision-making
- Build and maintain dashboards, reports, and visualizations to communicate key performance metrics to stakeholders
- Work cross-functionally with teams (e.g., finance, operations, marketing) to define data needs and solve business problems using data
- Collaborate with engineering and product teams to understand and meet data requirements
- Develop data models and schemas for analytics and reporting
- Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize data pipelines for performance and reliability
- Support the design and implementation of a modern data warehouse architecture
- Ensure data quality, governance, and security best practices are followed
- Work with third-party APIs and internal tools to extract, transform, and load data
- Demonstrate an entrepreneurial, self-starter attitude as the inaugural data analytics hire
Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience in data engineering or a related field
- Proficiency in SQL and experience with Python or another scripting language
- Experience analyzing large datasets and generating insights that drive business impact
- Familiarity with dashboarding and analytics platforms such as Mode, Power BI, or similar
- Hands-on experience with modern data platforms (e.g., Snowflake, BigQuery, Redshift)
- Experience with ETL tools (e.g., Airflow, dbt, Fivetran) and data pipeline orchestration
- Strong understanding of data warehousing concepts and data modeling
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with minimal oversight

- Experience in SaaS or B2B software environments
- Exposure to finance or accounting domains
