About the Role
The Data Engineer will design and implement robust data pipelines, develop optimized storage solutions, and ensure data quality, security, and compliance.
You will work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality analytical models and reports, supporting business leaders in making timely and impactful decisions.
This position involves working with cutting-edge Azure technologies, applying advanced ETL processes, and enabling scalable reporting with Microsoft Fabric and Power BI.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain data pipelines using Azure services such as Data Factory, Databricks, and Synapse Analytics.
- Develop and manage data storage solutions including Azure Data Lake and Azure SQL Database.
- Implement ETL processes to extract, transform, and load data from multiple sources.
- Optimize data workflows for performance, scalability, and cost-efficiency.
- Ensure data quality, security, and compliance with standards such as GDPR or HIPAA.
- Collaborate with business and technical teams to deliver actionable dashboards and insights.
- Create and optimize data models for analytical reporting using Microsoft Fabric and Power BI.
- Apply cube modeling and DAX expressions for advanced analytics scenarios.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives in data infrastructure and analytics capabilities.
Qualifications
Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Systems Engineering, Data Science, Telecommunications, or a related field.
- 2–5+ years of experience in data engineering or cloud-based data solutions, including pipeline creation and management.
- Proven experience with Azure Data Factory, Data Lake Storage, Synapse, Databricks, and Blob Storage.
- Certification such as Microsoft Certified: Azure Data Engineer Associate is highly valued.
Skills & Tools
- Proficiency in SQL, Python, or Scala.
- Strong knowledge of data modeling, data warehousing, and streaming data processing.
- Experience with cube modeling and DAX for business intelligence.
- Familiarity with data governance, access control, and encryption best practices.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Strong communication abilities and a collaborative, proactive mindset.
