Job Description:
The Global Learning Enablement (GLE) organization, part of Johnson & Johnson Global Services (GS), is recruiting for a Senior Supervisor, Operational Excellence & Analytics to join the Operational Excellence & Strategy team.
The Operational Excellence & Strategy team establishes and maintains a robust data infrastructure, maximizes digital tools, and implements automation to optimize processes and performance.
The team drives data accuracy, actionable insights, and technological innovation to enable strategic decision-making and operational efficiency across GLE.
The Senior Supervisor, Operational Excellence & Analytics translates business expectations and Voice of the Customer (VoC) insights into efficient, measurable processes.
This role is responsible for performance developing through metrics, dashboards, and data governance, leads continuous improvement and PMO governance initiatives, supports project tracking and value realization, and mentors team members to strengthen operational efficiency and data-driven decision-making across the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
Data & Analytics Execution
* Own the integration of multiple data sources (e.g., NPS, operational metrics, surveys) into centralized reporting systems.
* Supervise the development, maintenance, and enhancement of dashboards, scorecards, and performance metrics to support decision-making.
* Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and governance through regular audits, documentation, and process controls.
* Identify trends, patterns, and opportunities for operational improvement through data analysis and visualization.
* Leverage AI and automation tools to optimize reporting workflows and reduce manual effort.
* Establish alignment between analytics reporting and PMO project metrics, ensuring visibility into project performance, milestones, and value realization.
Business Partnership & Communication
* Translate business goals and customer insights into measurable KPIs and actionable strategies.
* Present analytical findings and recommendations clearly and persuasively to senior leadership.
* Partner cross-functionally with operations teams, PMO, and business stakeholders to align on metrics, methodologies, and reporting cadence.
* Collaborate with project leads and governance teams to ensure data-driven insights inform project prioritization and progress reviews.
Leadership & PMO/Continuous Improvement
* Oversee project governance for performance improvement initiatives, ensuring progress tracking, milestone completion, and value delivery.
* Oversee governance and reporting consistency across key projects, ensuring milestone tracking, resourcing visibility, and communication alignment.
* Lead post-project evaluations and after-action reviews to capture lessons learned and identify areas for improvement.
* Drive a culture of continuous improvement and innovation in data reporting, project governance, and process optimization.
* Supervise and develop team members, fostering collaboration, accountability, and professional growth.
* Promote agile, transparent, and collaborative ways of working across teams.
* Champion organizational culture initiatives and leadership frameworks (e.g., J&J 5 Conversations).
* Demonstrate proactive curiosity to understand performance drivers, challenge assumptions, and identify opportunities for innovation and improvement.
Qualifications
Education & Experience:
* Bachelor’s degree required; degree in a quantitative discipline (e.g., Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, Economics, or related field) preferred.
* Minimum six years of experience in analytics, metrics reporting, or operational excellence.
* Minimum two years of experience in a leadership or supervisory capacity preferred.
* Experience in project management or PMO governance, focusing on performance improvement initiatives within a global organization.
Required Skills:
* Proven expertise in data analysis, metrics definition, and reporting.
* Advanced proficiency with BI tools (Power BI, Tableau, Qlik) and Excel (Power Query, pivot tables, advanced formulas).
* Experience with automation and workflow tools (Power Automate, Alteryx, RPA, UiPath, etc.).
* Experience integrating data from multiple enterprise systems (CRM, ERP, survey platforms) to deliver cohesive insights.
* Strong knowledge of data visualization and storytelling with data.
* Familiarity with project tracking, milestone reporting, and value realization frameworks.
* Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate complex data into business insights.
* Strong business acumen and stakeholder management skills.
* Demonstrated ability to align data analytics and project governance to drive strategic decision-making.
Preferred:
* Lean Six Sigma Green or Black Belt certification.
* Project management certification (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2, Agile).
* Experience with SQL or scripting (e.g., Python, R) for advanced analytics and data manipulation.
