We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Data & Advanced Analytics Lead to join our team.
The ideal candidate will collaborate closely with our client’s analytics, marketing, content, and consumer research teams.
They should be solution-oriented, with broad and deep expertise across digital channels and traditional media.
The Data & Advanced Analytics Lead must possess excellent communication skills and the ability to lead a talented team of analytical associates, ensuring the seamless execution and delivery of our products and services.
Responsibilities
- Data Strategy – Understands how to approach complex problems by outlining several ways to approach the challenges, can structure the approach from a cost/benefit perspective, and confidently guide a team through execution.
- Considered a thought leader within the Data team and broader region for strategic insight and ability to apply insights to multiple client situations.
- Considered a subject matter expert (SME) in multiple areas and can train other team members in these areas.
- Independently able to drive internal and external stakeholder alignment to drive strategy and meet specific business objectives.
- Communication Skills – Assess and resolve issues, identify and respond to client and internal needs, opportunities, and issues.
- Command client audiences and turn presentations into constructive dialogue that facilitates improvements or new approaches with a focus on opportunities or BD.
- Tailor presentations to the audience.
- Lead work sessions and meetings even with less structured agendas.
- Help others take on leadership positions.
- Oversee others in organizing and preparing well-written documents.
- Use clear, concise writing to connect key insights and communicate an effective story.
- Adapt depth or breadth of expertise to the audience.
- Own template creation for best-in-class delivery of analytical outputs.
- Client Engagement – Be a visible presence to senior external clients and a trusted advisor to mid-level client management.
- Frame key issues facing the client and develop recommended approaches.
- Actively reach out to develop new business partnerships.
- Lead the development of large client strategic agenda.
- Track and demonstrate value generated by the data team.
- Focus on increasing share and profitability of a client’s business.
- Proactively engage senior client teams to inform them of industry and client-specific strategic issues.
- Understand key levers to improve client business.
- Tools & Techniques – Recommend and understand data tools, martech/adtech platforms, and cloud solutions to address internal and external strategic needs.
- Understand needs and applications of advanced analytical methods and collaborate with Data Science/Engineering/Instrumentation SMEs to plan and execute projects correctly.
- Identify and evaluate potential vendors and socialize vendors within our capability.
- Analytics – Planning and Implementation: understand investments and relationships needed to deliver against a data maturity model; obtain stakeholder buy-in to measure cross-channel performance; lead requirement gathering workshops with clients and other disciplines.
- Insight Generation: provide holistic recommendations to ensure maturity recommendations are comprehensive and future-focused; develop models proving business value of analytical findings; maintain high analytical expectations across the team.
Qualifications
- 5+ years working in a data strategy capacity or similar field where data-driven decision-making is core to the role.
- Demonstrated thought leadership within their organization as a subject matter expert in analytics.
- Experience turning analysis into actionable insights that deliver value, especially in audience targeting, message sequencing, communication effectiveness, brand and campaign measurement, and real-time campaign optimizations.
- Ability to explain technical concepts to a non-technical audience and to frame insights within a broader strategic context.
- Experience planning and delivering data-driven strategies and understanding their effect on the client’s business.
- Knowledge of evolving martech landscape for analytics, CRM, personalization, and media, including pros/cons of provider solutions.
- Knowledge of digital data technologies (CDP, DMPs, Google Analytics, digital pixel tracking, site tagging, etc.).
- Ability to lead data partnerships with media and data vendors, especially in emerging markets where digital roadmaps are growing.
- Fluent in English and Spanish (written and spoken); able to collaborate remotely using tools like Microsoft Teams.
- Skilled in cross-team collaboration with multiple internal and client-facing departments, leveraging cultural fluency for Latin American and global clients.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office suite.
- Experience using Tableau, Datorama or Microsoft Power BI to visualize data insights (preferred).
- Experience using Python and Microsoft SQL Server; skills in descriptive statistics.
- Experience with JIRA & Confluence (or similar tools) for project management (preferred).
- Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills.
