Job Summary:
In this customer-facing role, the
Customer Project Manager (CPM)
leads small to medium-sized customer projects within an account or group of accounts.
The CPM is responsible for coordinating schedules, managing resources, and ensuring successful project delivery — on time, within scope, and aligned with customer expectations.
This position requires a
technical background in Routing/Switching or Networking
, enabling effective communication with engineering teams and a better understanding of project dependencies and risks.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage small to medium-sized customer projects, including scheduling, resource coordination, and progress tracking.
- Lead project teams that may span multiple business or technology areas, ensuring scope, schedule, and quality are met.
- Oversee project scope, time, cost, quality, risk, and communications, maintaining alignment with stakeholders.
- Apply working knowledge of
Routing, Switching, Internet technologies, and Network Architecture
to support project delivery.
- Track and manage project issues and dependencies using
JIRA
or similar tools.
- Proactively identify potential risks or blockers and drive their resolution in collaboration with engineering and business teams.
- Communicate clearly and effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Take ownership of assigned projects, focusing on key success factors and customer satisfaction.
Desired Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Technology, Business, or a related field.
- Demonstrated project management experience, preferably in
technical or networking environments
.
- Familiarity with
Routing/Switching
technologies or network infrastructure concepts.
- Knowledge of project management frameworks such as
PMBOK
; exposure to
Agile (Scrum, SAFe)
is a plus.
- Experience using
MS Office Suite

JIRA
,
Smartsheet
, or
Rally
.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Certifications such as
PMP
,
Scrum Master
, or
SAFe Practitioner
are advantageous but not mandatory.
- Ability to balance technical understanding with project management discipline in customer-facing environments.
