The Corporate Finance Structuring Associate will support the structuring and execution of investment transactions across the Latin American region, with a particular focus on Brazil.
The role involves financial modeling, due diligence coordination, deal structuring, and stakeholder engagement.
In addition, the candidate will be responsible for the monitoring of the transactions under their assigned portfolios.
The ideal candidate will bring strong analytical capabilities, regional market knowledge, experience and knowhow in corporate finance structuring, preferably in the agriculture and aquaculture sectors and fluency in Spanish and Portuguese in addition to English as the primary business communication language of the company.
Key Responsibilities:
Transaction Structuring, Execution and Monitoring
- Support the structuring of debt and hybrid instruments tailored to the needs of clients and investors.
- Prepare investment proposals, term sheets, and financial models.
- Coordinate internal and external due diligence processes.
Market & Sector Analysis
- Conduct in-depth analysis of the Brazilian market and broader Latin American macroeconomic trends.
- Monitor developments in key strategic sectors, with a strong focus on agriculture and aquaculture, including regulatory, operational, environmental and technological shifts.
Stakeholder Engagement
- Liaise with the all internal and external transaction counterparties including origination, legal, technical, I&S, AML and external advisers.
- Take an active role in negotiations with clients, co-investors, and financial institutions.
- Take an active role in internal and external presentation of the deal to the investment committee, portfolio management, auditors, strategic committees within the company
Portfolio Monitoring & Reporting
- Support post-investment monitoring, including financial performance tracking and covenant compliance.
- Contribute to periodic reporting to internal committees and external stakeholders.
What we expect:
- Bachelor's degree in a quantitative discipline.
Master's degree in finance or a related field, or professional certifications (such as CFA) preferred.
- At least 4 years of relevant experience in investing, project finance, corporate finance, investment banking or similar background.
- Hard worker, willingness to build financial model, prepare investment proposals and run / coordinate due diligence process.
- Proven financial modelling capabilities with strong financial technical aptitudes.
- Strong research and analytical skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deliverables while coordinate effectively with teams in different regions.
- Exceptional written and verbal business communication skills in English (all responsibilities are conducted fully in English).
- Goal oriented, team player, and fully committed to delivering high quality results under tight deadlines.
- Willingness to travel.
- Sector experience in agriculture and aquaculture, including value chain understanding and ESG considerations.
- Experience working with development finance institutions (DFIs), impact investors, or blended finance structures.
- Spanish and Portuguese language proficiency is a plus.
- Ability to work independently in a multicultural and fast-paced environment.
- Strong interpersonal skills and cultural sensitivity.
- Experience and familiarity with the Brazilian market
