About The Basel Institute On Governance
The Basel Institute on Governance is a hands-on centre of competence dedicated to promoting good governance and countering corruption for a more peaceful, just and sustainable world.
Established in 2003 in Basel, Switzerland, the Institute works with partners worldwide to advance knowledge, practice and policy on anti-corruption, asset recovery and business integrity.
With field operations worldwide, it has some 150 staff covering 32 nationalities.
The Basel Institute is an Associated Institute of the University of Basel.
Project: Business Integrity Initiative project
The Basel Institute on Governance is launching a new project to strengthen the prevention of corruption and promote responsible business.
Building on the Basel Institute's leadership and experience in Collective Action, the project will mentor and support current and potential Collective Action leaders, demonstrate its applicability across a wide range of corruption-related risk areas, and promote the concept of Collective Action so that it becomes sustainably anchored through the B20 Collective Action Hub.
Assignment
This consultancy assignment will assist in validating our monitoring and impact evaluation system that will track the immediate and short-term changes brought about by the Basel Institute's project activities (outcomes) and the long-term, higher-level changes, which the project makes towards clean business and fair market conditions (impact).
The extent to which the observed effects can be attributed to the project activities will be a key aspect to consider when validating the impact evaluation system.
Activities and timeline
The consultant will be contracted from 1 November to 15 December 2025.
They are expected to exchange on all preliminary comments and recommendations by 30 November and remain available to provide additional guidance through 15 December 2025.

The consultant will report to the Senior Specialist, Collective Action, who is the project manager for this project.

The consultant should possess and be able to demonstrate the following qualifications:

Interested applicants should submit an expression of interest of not more than three pages, outlining: (i) their relevant experience for the assignment; (ii) the steps and activities they would undertake in order to execute the assignment; (iii) an indicative workplan; (iv) a proposed budget (up to a maximum of EUR v) and any clarifications they would wish to seek from the Basel Institute prior to executing the assignment.
