Role Description The Community Events Marketing Manager will play a pivotal role in building customer advocacy, sparking virality, and amplifying Dropbox through community‑driven experiences enhanced by the intelligent use of AI tools.

This role will shape the North America community events strategy by combining scalable frameworks, predictive insights, and generative tools to execute customer‑led programs that drive brand loyalty and influence pipeline growth.

Reporting to the Director of Virtual and Ancillary Events, the Community Events Marketing Manager will collaborate closely with Customer Marketing and cross‑functional teams to design impactful events that transform customers into advocates, expand awareness, and fuel growth.

Success in this role requires a forward‑looking mindset, continually asking: How can AI make community events smarter, more personalized, and more impactful?

The ideal candidate will not only deliver exceptional events but also bring curiosity, experimentation, and a drive to embed AI into everyday work.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with Customer Marketing to develop and lead the North America community events strategy, driving execution to support acquisition, expansion, and retention goals.

  • Design scalable playbooks and frameworks for repeatable, high‑impact customer‑driven events.

  • Lead end‑to‑end activations with operational rigor across logistics, production, and attendee experience.

  • Use generative AI tools to create dynamic content, tailor attendee journeys, and amplify engagement.

  • Partner with cross‑functional teams (Customer Marketing, Brand and Communications, Content Marketing, Product Marketing, Solutions Marketing, Field Marketing, Sales, and Marketing Operations) to integrate community events into broader campaigns.

  • Run rapid experimentation cycles to optimize live events in real time and inform future playbooks.

  • Define, track, and analyze key performance indicators to measure impact and continuously improve strategy.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of experience in event, community, or field marketing within B2B environments
  • Proven ability to translate strategy into execution across multiple projects in fast‑paced settings
  • Demonstrated success in building customer advocacy and community programs that drive business impact
  • Experience leveraging AI or data‑driven insights to inform marketing or event strategies
  • Strong cross‑functional collaboration and stakeholder management skills
  • Data‑driven mindset with proficiency in measuring and reporting on event performance
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with confidence presenting to senior leadership
  • Willingness to travel up to 30%

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience marketing SaaS or productivity solutions, with familiarity in both sales‑assisted and product‑led growth models
  • Experience supporting digital and hybrid event formats in addition to in‑person programs
  • Familiarity with analyzing data sets and applying insights to optimize event strategy and outcomes
  • Background in customer advocacy or community engagement programs within B2B SaaS or technology industries

$142,300—$192,500 USD

US Zone 3
$126,500—$171,100 USD

The range(s) listed above is the expected annual salary/OTE (On‑Target Earnings) for this role, subject to change.

Please note, OTE are for sales roles only.

Salary/OTE is just one component of Dropbox’s total rewards package.

All regular employees are also eligible for the corporate bonus program or a sales incentive (target included in OTE) as well as stock in the form of Restricted Stock Units (RSUs).

Dropbox takes a number of factors into account when determining individual starting pay, including job and level they are hired into, location/metropolitan area, skillset, and peer compensation.

We target most new hire offers between the minimum up to the middle of the range.
