We are looking for a Chief Data Scientist to join our team.
Responsibilities
- Develop, optimize, and deploy advanced machine learning models and algorithms tailored to supply chain applications, such as demand forecasting, inventory optimization, network planning, and logistics improvements
- Work closely with Supply Chain engineering teams to understand their data requirements, workflows, and technical constraints
- Manage the full lifecycle of data science projects, from problem identification and data exploration to model implementation and performance tracking
- Utilize expertise in Generative AI to build applications that integrate AI services
- Apply advanced knowledge of time-series analysis, forecasting, and statistical modeling to supply chain and external data sources
- Perform in-depth data analyses to uncover patterns, trends, and opportunities to enhance supply chain efficiency
- Present insights, findings, and technical concepts to diverse audiences through clear and effective visualizations and narratives
- Stay up-to-date on the latest advancements in AI and supply chain technologies, experimenting with innovative techniques and solutions
- Design and implement solutions for batch and real-time algorithms, including tools for monitoring, logging, testing, and performance evaluation
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Data Science, Supply Chain Management, or a related field
- At least 7 years of experience in data science and machine learning, with a focus on supply chain applications
- A minimum of 2 years of experience leading and managing teams, with the ability to drive technical direction, enforce best practices, and deliver high-quality outcomes
- Participation in at least 2 full-cycle projects or involvement in multiple projects across different stages of the development lifecycle
- Expertise in cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP, along with experience using machine learning tools like MLFlow
- Advanced proficiency in relational SQL databases and NoSQL systems
- Strong programming skills in languages such as Python, R, Scala, or Rust, with experience using machine learning libraries and frameworks
- Deep understanding of supply chain principles, processes, and data structures
- Proven record of deploying data science solutions that improve supply chain performance
- Excellent problem-solving skills and analytical abilities for addressing complex challenges creatively
- Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with diverse teams and explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
- Passion for staying informed about industry trends and sharing knowledge with team members
- Hands-on experience with Generative AI services and open-source models
- Self-starter with the ability to manage projects independently and ensure their successful completion
- Comfortable working in fast-paced, dynamic environments
- Fluent in English, both written and spoken, at a B2+ level or higher
Nice to have
- Experience with distributed computing technologies such as Spark
- Advanced knowledge of deep learning frameworks like TensorFlow or PyTorch, with practical experience in building complex AI systems
