We are looking for a Chief Cloud Engineer to join our team and play a critical role in building, deploying, and managing services that serve over half a billion players globally.

In this position, you will work alongside online services teams to optimize cloud platforms, enhance scalability, and improve operational efficiency.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the operations of secure, large-scale, and highly available online services and infrastructure for the organization and its products
  • Identify and implement strategies to optimize cloud costs and enhance resource efficiency
  • Establish and enforce best practices for cloud governance and risk mitigation
  • Collaborate with development teams to introduce and promote new cloud optimization standards
  • Refine internal tools and workflows to adhere to updated cloud infrastructure guidelines
  • Develop dashboards and analytics to support cloud governance initiatives and provide actionable insights to stakeholders
  • Work closely with the Cloud Cost Optimization team to improve cloud performance and efficiency
  • Ensure cloud infrastructure complies with security protocols and industry best practices

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience
  • At least 7 years of hands‑on experience in cloud engineering or cloud architecture roles
  • At least 2 years of experience managing and leading development teams
  • Participation in at least two full project lifecycles or involvement in multiple projects spanning different development phases
  • Extensive knowledge of cloud platforms, especially GCP, with expertise in architecture design and policy implementation
  • Experience working with secrets management tools such as Vault, as well as handling certificate management, cryptography, and encryption
  • Proficiency with Infrastructure as Code tools like Terraform, Git, and other IaC technologies
  • Strong understanding of IAM roles and account management within cloud environments
  • In‑depth expertise in Kubernetes and container orchestration systems
  • Comprehensive knowledge of networking, particularly within GCP environments
  • Fluency in English, both written and spoken, with a proficiency level of B2+ or higher

Nice to have

  • Experience with cloud transformation projects
  • Understanding of financial analysis for cloud cost management and optimization
  • Familiarity with GCP Data Services for data management and analytics
  • Proficiency in the Go programming language
  • Experience working with Microsoft Azure cloud environments
