Position Summary: Work as liaison between vendors and the organization; provide specialized consultative service and implement, drive and maintain vendor programs, marketing, and training; review and negotiate terms of vendor contracts and communicate with vendors regarding day-to-day matters; build and maintain positive relationships with vendors and monitor vendor performance; research invoice and contractual issues and resolve discrepancies.
Position may or may not be on sales commission plans.
Responsibilities
- Serve as liaison between vendors and the organization, delivering consultative services and managing vendor programs.
- Implement, drive, and maintain vendor programs, marketing initiatives, and training efforts.
- Review and negotiate terms of vendor contracts; communicate with vendors on day-to-day matters.
- Build and maintain positive vendor relationships; monitor vendor performance.
- Research invoice and contractual issues and resolve discrepancies.
Qualifications
- Established and productive professional individual contributor.
Works independently with general supervision.
Problems faced are difficult and may be complex.
- Works on moderate to complex projects using standard policies and procedures to resolve issues.
- Exercises judgment within defined procedures; receives moderate guidance; work is reviewed for soundness and accuracy.
- General proficiency with tools, systems, and procedures; may consult with Senior/Specialist staff on technical issues.
- Bachelor's degree (or equivalent experience) and 3 years of functional experience including at least 1 year of position-specific experience.
