Position Overview:
We’re looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Carrier Payment & Customer Support Specialist to join our growing team.
In this role, you’ll be responsible for making sure our carriers get paid accurately and on time, while also providing top-notch support to resolve any issues that may come up.
You’ll play a key part in maintaining smooth operations by reviewing payment documents, updating records, and communicating with both carriers and internal teams.
Responsibilities:
Payment Processing:
- Verify accuracy and completeness of payment documents (e.g., rate confirmations, BOLs, PODs).
- Investigate and resolve inconsistencies or missing paperwork that may delay payments.
- Process carrier payments in accordance with company timelines and policies.
- Ensure compliance with legal and financial documentation standards.
- Update and maintain payment statuses and carrier records using HubSpot or internal CRM.
- Serve as the first point of contact for carrier payment inquiries via phone, email, and chat.
- Manage and resolve tickets submitted through platforms like Front or similar systems.
- Conduct outbound calls to request required documentation or follow up on pending issues.
- Communicate clearly and professionally with carriers and internal stakeholders regarding payment issues, policies, and resolutions.
- Educate carriers on processes and expectations for smoother payment cycles.
- Keep carrier profiles updated with the latest compliance, contact, and payment info.
- Document and track interactions and resolutions in CRM and ticketing systems.
- Collaborate with other departments (e.g., Carrier Onboarding, Compliance, Finance) to ensure smooth handoffs and process continuity.
Qualifications:
- 2+ years of experience in carrier payments, logistics customer service, or freight operations.
- Strong understanding of carrier paperwork requirements (BOLs, PODs, rate confirmations).
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
- High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
- Proficiency in using CRM systems, particularly HubSpot, and email platforms like Front.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a remote environment.
