NeoWork is looking for a Back-end Engineer with strong technical fundamentals and a passion for building reliable, well-tested systems.
In this role, you'll be working on tool-use functionality, including analyzing transcripts, debugging issues, and ensuring systems are robust and reliable.
You'll collaborate with contract engineers and internal stakeholders, helping drive technical quality across projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze tool-use transcripts to identify where models fail or tools break.
- Debug and confirm functionality by directly interacting with an MCP server.
- Write clear and detailed technical documentation for processes and findings.
- Build and maintain robust test suites to ensure high-quality code changes.
- Collaborate with other engineers and contract contributors to support technical QA and debugging.
Requirements
- 3+ years of software engineering experience (open to strong candidates with less).
- Familiarity with Go, Python, TypeScript, or similar modern back-end stacks.
- Strong background in building and maintaining test frameworks.
- Excellent technical writing and communication skills, with the ability to create clear documentation.
- Analytical and proactive problem-solver who can spot issues from data and propose solutions.
