Associate Sales Manager role at Tesla.
This position is responsible for driving revenue, results and customer experience across a designated territory, hiring and developing teams, and delivering market growth and profitability through strategic planning and effective operations.

The Associate Sales Manager is accountable for growing market shares across all product lines, driving brand awareness, and increasing profitability within their territory.
The role requires delivering excellent results by developing local teams, maintaining operational standards, and leading strategic business planning within the region.
It also involves translating strategic themes into concrete action plans and providing feedback to identify, prioritize, resource, and operationalize projects.
This role supports Tesla’s mission by ensuring accurate, consistent, and rapid transactions for customers.
Responsibilities
- Build effective teams through sourcing, recruiting, hiring and onboarding top talent.
Lead, develop, coach and motivate high-performing teams, and execute daily, monthly, quarterly and yearly strategies to hit targets and drive profitability.
Foster a culture of leadership and team excellence: training standards, succession planning, talent acquisition and employee retention; spend time in stores and delivery centers; provide coaching and in-the-moment feedback to management and senior team leaders.
- Directly manage a team of people-leaders across field retail, service-plus, and delivery locations; set clear team targets and individual goals; hold teams accountable by driving performance and creating a culture of employee engagement and recognition of high performers.
- Reinforce Operational Standards by maintaining and reinforcing Safety and Security standards; partner with EH&S, Workplace and Security teams; create a continuous improvement culture by collecting feedback, testing strategies, and improving vehicle and customer flow in each sales and delivery location.
- Demonstrate fluency in local market Sales and DMV requirements and processes; partner with fleet logistics to optimize sales and delivery processes that promote customer experience; utilize reports and dashboards to provide feedback to management on strategic direction; execute process management changes.
- Define Strategic Business Planning and build strong relationships with key stakeholders across real estate, charging, marketing, government affairs, retail operations, recruiting, HR, financial operations, and service to develop a market strategy.
What You'll Bring
- At least 3 years of experience leading large teams in a high-growth, service-focused industry with multi-site experience; demonstrated ability to inspire, influence, and hold teams accountable to achieve a common goal.
- Ability to prioritize, manage multiple projects, and adhere to business-critical deadlines.
- Resourceful, passionate, ethical and collaborative; a person others want to work with.
- Prior P&L experience; excellent analytical, verbal and written communication, and sales skills.
- Ability to travel frequently and to work evenings and weekends.
