Requirements
Must have:
· Hands-on experience designing, implementing, and supporting large-scale Teradata environments
· Strong analytical thinking to plan and execute complex data migrations
· At least 10 years of experience in Teradata architecture, administration, performance tuning, and infrastructure planning
· Ability to translate migration and infrastructure requirements into technical specifications
· Experience participating in meetings with infrastructure teams, stakeholders, and technical staff to define and validate migration strategies
· Ability to analyze existing Teradata environments and optimize post-migration performance
· Experience performing all phases of the migration lifecycle: planning, execution, validation, and optimization
· Strong communication and documentation skills
· Ability to work independently and collaboratively across global teams
Nice to have:
· Experience with Teradata utilities such as FastLoad, MultiLoad, and TPT
· Familiarity with Linux/Unix environments and shell scripting
· Knowledge of networking, storage, and security in data center migrations
· Experience mentoring junior team members and providing technical leadership
Responsibilities
· Lead the end-to-end migration of Teradata environments from international data centers to local bare-metal infrastructure
· Design and document target architecture ensuring performance, scalability, and reliability
· Define and execute migration strategy including data transfer, system configuration, and validation
· Collaborate with infrastructure teams to provision and configure bare-metal environments
· Ensure minimal downtime and data integrity throughout the migration process
· Conduct performance tuning and system optimization post-migration
· Provide expert-level support and guidance throughout the migration process
· Document technical processes and contribute to continuous improvement
