Job Description
We are seeking an
Application Development Project Manager (App Dev PM)
to join our team in Bogotá.
This role is focused on ensuring
successful technology delivery
by leading application development delivery teams, managing complex project plans, and aligning with external client needs.
You will oversee
scope, time, cost, quality, risk, and integration management
, while applying industry best practices (PMP required).
The ideal candidate has strong
software implementation experience
, excellent client-facing skills, and the ability to manage multiple diverse and complex projects simultaneously.
Key Responsibilities
- Time Management:
Develop and manage master project plans, optimize critical paths, and evaluate resource leveling across multiple projects.
- Cost Control:
Contribute to budget development, perform EV analysis, track planned vs.
actual spend, and propose optimal budgeting strategies.
- Quality Assurance:
Apply QA best practices, define quality metrics, and ensure clear alignment between requirements and solutions.
- Communication:
Lead project status reviews with stakeholders, deliver detailed consolidated reports, and manage expectations effectively.
- Resource & HR Management:
Align project needs with team skillsets, mentor project leads in PM best practices, and maintain high team performance.
- Integration & Delivery:
Apply PM methodologies and tools to deliver projects successfully on scope, time, and budget.
- Risk Management:
Develop mitigation and contingency plans, lead risk workshops, and update risk registers proactively.
- Scope Management:
Refine scope statements, manage WBS creation, control scope changes, and ensure clear stakeholder communication.
Must-Have Requirements
- Software implementation experience
(implementation > product dev focus).
- External client management experience
(not only internal stakeholder management).
- Valid PMP certification
(mandatory).
- Strong track record in managing
scope, timelines, and budgets
.
- Insurance industry knowledge
(a strong plus).
