A day in the life
The Retail Marketing Strategist, Organic is responsible for owning the execution and performance of Amazon & online retail organic / catalog management strategy within their book of business.
They focus on the client’s business success, aligning efforts to broader business goals.
They are self-starters, adept problem solvers, and autonomously own their responsibilities.
The Strategist works with account leadership to ideate and evolve the strategy within the broader go-to-market plan.
They own execution, tracking, reporting, and client communication of catalog updates, promotional strategy, issue resolution / case management, online retail SEO and CRO strategy, sometimes with the support of a Specialist.
The Strategist provides insights and forward-thinking strategy to clients and understands organic levers to drive and sustain performance.
Responsibilities
- Manage the Amazon and/or online retail product catalog & organic presence of clients across various business types, sizes, and industries, including daily optimizations / fixes, high-level planning, and strategic pivots
- Provide intelligent analysis, interpretation, and action plans based on performance data from Amazon Seller Central, Vendor Central, & other online retail platforms, tying into overall retail business performance
- Participate in weekly department scrums and training sessions to broaden channel knowledge
- Continuously seek to improve performance & business impact against client goals
- Maintain frequent and excellent communication with internal teams and assigned clients
- Participate in the development of new department training materials
- Employ AI technologies to enhance and optimize business processes
- Utilize and leverage Power Digital's Nova ecosystem as it relates to your department
Role Requirements
- 2-3 years of digital marketing experience; 1-2 years in an agency setting preferred
- Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience with Amazon / online retail catalog management
- Significant organic / catalog management experience in one or more platforms: Amazon Seller Central; Vendor Central
- Proficiency in Google/Microsoft Office Suite(s)
- Excellent organizational and project management skills, with ability to delegate effectively
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Self-motivated with a strong desire to succeed
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Strong work ethic and ability to learn quickly and independently
- Interested in a long-lasting relationship with a growing company
