Position Overview
As an Admissions Specialist at upGrad GSP, you will play a critical role in supporting student recruitment and admissions across Colombia.
Reporting to the Regional Manager, you will be responsible for engaging with prospective students, managing applications, and working closely with recruitment partners (agents, schools, and institutions) to drive enrollments into upGrad GSP programs.
This role requires a strong mix of counseling, sales, and relationship management skills to ensure students receive high-quality guidance throughout their admissions journey.
Key Responsibilities -
Student Recruitment & Counseling
- Engage directly with prospective students, providing guidance on academic programs, admissions requirements, and career outcomes.
- Counsel students through the entire application process, from initial inquiry to enrollment.
- Ensure all student applications meet academic and compliance standards.
Admissions & Application Management
- Manage student pipelines efficiently, ensuring timely follow-ups and conversions.
- Review applications for accuracy and completeness before submission.
- Coordinate with global admissions teams to ensure smooth processing.
Partner & Channel Engagement
- Support Recruitment Partners (RPs) such as education agents and schools in promoting upGrad GSP programs.
- Provide training and admissions updates to RPs to improve student conversion.
- Collaborate with channel partners to generate quality leads.
Market Engagement & Operations
- Represent upGrad GSP at education fairs, webinars, and student recruitment events.
- Collect feedback from students and partners to continuously improve the admissions process.
- Monitor enrollment targets and report regularly on progress and challenges.
Qualifications -
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Education, Marketing, or related field.
- 2–4 years of experience in student admissions, recruitment, or sales (preferably in education or EdTech).
- Proven ability to manage student pipelines and achieve conversion targets.
- Strong communication, counseling, and presentation skills.
- Familiarity with international higher education trends and student mobility.
- Proficiency in English (Spanish required; Portuguese is a plus).
- Willingness to travel within Colombia for recruitment events and partner meetings.
