We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Accountant to join our team.
As the Accountant, you will play a pivotal role in maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring adherence to accounting principles, helping to drive the company’s continued success.
What You Will Do
- Maintain the financial books for FullStack’s Colombian entity.
- Prepare and enter journal entries on an accrual basis and in accordance with Colombian GAAP.
- Maintain the general ledger, ensuring compliance with accounting policies, procedures, and relevant regulations.
- Close the accounting books each month.
- Conduct periodic reconciliations of all accounts to ensure accuracy.
- Assist the Accounting Manager in reporting final monthly results to the US headquarters for consolidation.
- Prepare financial reports for management reviews and provide insights and analysis on financial performance.
- Contribute to local and federal tax compliance and tax returns.
- Contribute to the annual audits by preparing inputs to audit queries.
- Carry out recurring controls and contribute to process improvements and automation within the finance department; implement best practices to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
What We’re Looking For
- 4+ years of professional accounting experience, ideally within the software consultancy, IT services, or professional services industries.
- Advanced English is required.
- Four-year college degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; Certified Accountant designation is preferred.
- Experience with transfer pricing, foreign currency management, and other financial matters from foreign subsidiaries.
- Familiarity with GAAP accounting principles and practices.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with keen attention to detail.
- Proficiency in financial software and tools such as Google Sheets, Siigo, QuickBooks, and similar systems.
- Ability to work in a dynamic environment, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
- Commitment to confidentiality and integrity in financial matters.
- A positive mindset and a can-do attitude.
- Experience working on Agile / Scrum teams.
- Meaningful experience working on large, complex systems.
- Ability to take extreme ownership over your work and deliver on commitments.
- Ability to align with the goals of FullStack’s clients and deliver on team commitments.
- Ability to consistently work 40 hours per week.
